Blast from the past, that's an 'album' we made for Spotify with bits from 3-4 albums in order to have some presence. I hope you didn't hate it!

Quite the opposite!

I've been listening to the most excellent Basschat forum members playlist on Spotify, and have bookmarked a few albums. Yours being one of them.

I'd say UFO's Strangers In The Night is one of my favourite albums

That's one of my favourite albums of all time too, I love UFO and I love Phil Moggs voice.  I'm embracing the album for what it is and I'm enjoying the different voices on the album, I never thought I'd hear Biff Byford singing UFO but now I have and I quote like it 😀.

Having heard her interview on 6 Music, accompanied by her occaisional session bassist for some reason, I'm quite enjoying listening to Fabiana Palladino. It definitely has a vibe to it.

Victor Borge

After he was on BBC4 last night? (The four-hander piano section was particularly excellent)

I’ve been watching those but always had a soft spot for him.
I bought tickets for my parents to see him many years ago, and the tickets were printed saying something along the lines of - the show is on such and such a date, unless he dies first 😂😂😂

For sure this album is a rocking affair, but I just can't reconcile the rotating vocalist choices; I just hear the songs in my head with Mogg singing and can't get past that.  I doubt whether I'll give it a second listen.

That is exactly what I like about this album. I love hearing a good cover version of a good song.

The original Torn video was quite iconic, they recorded her and her boyfriend including when they didn't tell her that they were filming. Always loved the track.

The original is great, although I can see why Natalies version was much more popular.

Interesting day of re-releases today.  While I'm not really a Green Day fan, I've been spinning the American Idiot deluxe thing today in the background.  Currently going through the Queen 1 Collector's Edition deluxe set, which extends to 63 tracks (which in the actual box extends to six discs)...I'm on track 30 at the moment.

Also enjoying the new Momma single; if you like Veruca Salt and Smashing Pumpkins, then this should be right up your alley:

Bass plugged in and just meandering thru a YT play list.. mainly 70's pop..Philly Soul, James Taylor, Bee Gees, Carole King, EW&F, Stevie W.  Its complete and utter relaxation playing with and enjoying all those old favs, time just disappears.  Great writing, grt bass work on all of it.
