jakenewmanbass
John Rutter Ubi Caritas. Was played at the royal wedding, I heard it on the radio a few months back and loved it so was quite pleased to be reminded of it by the wedding. Low End Bee
All three Len Price 3 albums. Saw them a couple of weeks ago at the Fiddlers Elbow. Best live band I've seen in donkeys. Edited May 4, 2011 by Low End Bee
Wil
Herbie Hancock - Headhunters. Is this considered jazz? I'd be suprised if it is because I quite like most of it

johnDeereJack
Motorhead - Dog-Face Boy from 1995's Sacrifice. An epic driving track with a real sense of urgency about it. Just what's needed to drown out all the cackling 'hens' at work!
EskimoBassist
Three AMAZING new releases in the past month already, which almost completely passed me by: For the Instrumental/Alternative/Post-Rock fans out there we have Maybeshewill's sophomore album, "I Was Here For A Moment Then I Was Gone" and also And So I Watch You From Afar's second album, "Gangs" (which picks up nicely where The Letters Ep finished off). And anyone who is a fan of Dubstep/Dance/Drum & Bass will most likely already know about the release of Emalkay's long-awaited debut album, "Eclipse". Just wow.... I think I've got plenty to listen to for the next few weeks, especially as I have just picked up The Music's compliation release of Singles, B-Sides, Rarities et al from 2001-2005, which was released last year. Cracking stuff, big shame that they're splitting up, but I'm very pleased that I have tickets to their last ever show in Leeds. EDIT: Here's a few youtube links incase you were interested in any of these acts:- The lead single and closing track from Maybeshewill's I Was Here... , To The Skies From A Hillside: First track off ASIWYFA's Gangs, BEAUTIFULUNIVERSEMASTERCHAMPION: and the new single from Emalkay's Eclipse, Fabrication: Edited May 12, 2011 by EskimoBassist

phil.i.stein
grateful for the electronics thread for introducing me to some no-nonsense/no-bullshit funky electro hip-hop with real bass. credit will be due, when i sober up. do have a quick listen though (preferrably at volume) , it kicks. skankdelvar
7 different versions of Wabash Cannonball (for the acoustic duo). Hank Snow pips them all, IMO. Johnny Cash version surprisingly crap.
