Over the last couple of days I've been digitising old vinyl. Here's a sample of the sort of thing...

Oh yes, Catherine Wheel...I love the Ferment album. Indigo Is Blue is another fave of mine.

Currently listening to To The Loveless by the Boom Boom Satellites...Back On My Feet is one heck of an album opener:

used to have this on cassette tape - went to my local music emporium (sound and image in chatham thoroughly recommended) to treat myself to a cd copy

dig out your old kaftan and turn on all the lava lamps

This album never used to be off my hi-fi. Must dig out another copy.

"Saudades de Rock" by Extreme (!) Just discovered it after 3 years of being out. Pat Badger is a monster, and so is his bass tone. Groovemongous! :)

Currently: Virgil & The Accelerators - debut album. Saw them supporting Robin Trower at Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal recently. Very neat - actually thought the bassist had a better tone than Robin Trower's new bassist/vocalist.

BTW mflow is another streaming music site - but better organised than grooveshark. mFlow is free and has Pink Floyd unlike Spotify.

Stuff by Puscifer.

I'm a big fan of TOOL and APC, but it's taken me this long to listen to Maynard's own stuff.
I like it. The track with Milla Jovovich is very good.

I downloaded an hour long MP3 recording of a rain and thunder storm. I have it in my headphones while travelling and reading (Moby Dick at the moment) and it is both relaxing, stimulating, and blocks out the noise of other human activity around me. It bloody fantastic.
