NJE Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) I cant believe I have never heard this band before, gutted as they have already split up but I have two good albums and their previous bands album to work through. This is a bit middle of the road for them but a great band and when you work through the albums you can hear massive Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Velvet Revolver and Wildhearts influences. Clarky Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Listening to 'best of' Jacques Tati soundtracks. My fave, the theme from Mr Hulot's holidays, just wonderfully evocative: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-lWi8Q3giM Quote

discreet Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) My current band covers this - the song had escaped my attention entirely. Being a Big Woman's Coat, I thought this was the original and that Duffy's version was a cover..! This outfit was put together by one Eddie Piller (among others), who I worked with years ago with Hugh Brooker, Acid Jazz etc... small world! I've heard the Duffy cut now, but have to say I prefer this one... it's certainly more fun to play. . Edited January 15, 2012 by discreet Quote
