I cant believe I have never heard this band before, gutted as they have already split up but I have two good albums and their previous bands album to work through. This is a bit middle of the road for them but a great band and when you work through the albums you can hear massive Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Velvet Revolver and Wildhearts influences.

Listening to 'best of' Jacques Tati soundtracks. My fave, the theme from Mr Hulot's holidays, just wonderfully evocative:

that melody seemed somewhat familiar, and i realise where i'd heard it before.

it's got me curious to find out where the original tune came from now ...

I can't get enough of the new Puscifer album at the moment, 'Conditions Of My Parole':

You may recognise the singer....although if you do, you'll probably already know about Puscifer :)

My current band covers this - the song had escaped my attention entirely. Being a Big Woman's Coat, I thought this was the original and that Duffy's version was a cover..! This outfit was put together by one Eddie Piller (among others), who I worked with years ago with Hugh Brooker, Acid Jazz etc... small world!

I've heard the Duffy cut now, but have to say I prefer this one... it's certainly more fun to play. :D

A friend of mine recently turned me on to a band called Scissorfight. Now I can't stop listening to them. They sound like Clutch played by hairy mountain men!

Sounds like a band to check out...
