xilddx Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 The entire Blackadder collection on CD, which I transferred to my iPod. Other than that, I'm listening many times to the song 'Couldn't Find a Reason' from Francis Dunnery's Fearless album. I've been asked to record a cover version for an album of FD covers which Francis has sanctioned for his CKDCF childrens' charity. It's an exciting project as Kit Richardson has agreed to do the vocals, and I am rewriting the song and playing everything else. Quote
Clarky Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 An eclectic mix this morning on way to work Nick Cave's utterly wonderful 'Let the bells ring' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ffhNWxh41I And the melancholy but enticing 'Goodbye Old Porkpie hat' by Charlie Mingus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sfe_8RAaJ0 Quote

ezbass Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 (edited) Carl Verheyen - Slang Justice with Dave Marotta on bass (great player), actually playing whilst I type. Earlier I was listening to the Tony Levin Band - Double Espresso (progtastic). EDIT: I'm now listening to Phillips, Saisse, Palladino; I'm having a fretless afternoon :-) Edited January 19, 2012 by ezbass Quote
JoshL Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 At the moment it's an album by the black keys called el camino. The song lonely boy has been played on the radio quite bit recently and the rest of the album carries on in a similar vain to that. Quote

Chris2112 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Lie to me by Depeche Mode. Quite frankly, my favourite band at the moment. I usually relish driving to work on a nightshift, with the Alpine cranked up and the Depeche Mode pumping out, getting me in the frame for a night at work. I love this tune, one of their more 'atmospheric' efforts, deeply brooding and with some lovely synth tones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlMBs_HUcxQ Quote
