And now I'm listening to one of my all time favourites - South Side of the Sky by Yes. I must've listened to this song 1000s of times and never tire of it.

There's something about the chorus the way the bass and guitar play almost like a harmonised guitar solo like the solo in Hotel California where Don and Joe are playing together or even the guitar harmony in The Boys are back in town.

I've said it before but I must've listened to this whole album start to finish 1000s of times since I first heard it in 1994

Thank you Virgin Radio - had it not been for hearing Roundabout in 1993 I may never have heard Yes

Cochise by Audioslave. Learning it as an opener for our set. EPIC!
Not sure where we're going to get all the bloody fireworks from, though.

And... if anyone knows what effect(s) the bass player (Commerford?) is using, I'd be grateful... :)

No way! The drummer smells.

They all do, don't they?
Is that why they did the video on the top of a building?
Plenty of ventilation!

Getting back to the point, this kid gets a pretty good tone.

Having a very nice relaxing morning listening to all kinds of things ranging from Black Country Communion's first album, Marcus Miller's new album and Grace Jones Slave To The Rhythm and Pull Up To The Bumper. Quite an unusual mix but loads of great bass.

This is Gonna Hurt, the 2nd CD from Sixx AM.

Well turn it down a little bit, then.

Was pointed to this by our guitarist. Its just beautiful. 'Nothin' by Townes Van Zandt, a deceased Texas folk musician. Has a real vibe of the Johnny Cash version of 'Hurt' but predates it by many years
