Got a loan of a Dir en Grey album of a friend today (along with 16 other cd's). Listening to the full thing before bed, most likely inducing a nightmare or two.

Cravo E Canela by Flora Purim (its a Milton Nascimento song) on an ipod shuffle. I did a transcription of the bass part and posted it here. Great Brazillian grooves in 3:4.

One of my guilty pleasures

Out walking with MrsW along the seafront with her wittering away and one of the MANY things she said was "I posted a Sweet track on FB" which made me come home and find my copy of Sweet FA, an album rather different to the singles (though the B sides to those tended to be quite rocky too), and play it LOUD

Freemasons and Alanis Morrisette (who I now think is a genius song writer)

Plus Bootyluv because of the great bass synth patches...their songs seem built on bass synth drums and melody.

"superunknown" by Soundgarden - brilliant album from start to finish, that and 3rd Bass' awesome "The Cactus Album".

It's a bit of a '90s fest in _5 towers today.

Yea, when I first heard Les play Tommy the Cat, I was hooked. I could listen to his bass playing all day.
