Chris2112 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012
The new Rush album-ha ha going to see them next year - cannae f***ing wait
I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I've listened to a few tracks but not really into it. I need to give it another shot. Listening to this: amazingly fierce, snarling electro rock from the masters. Thunderous bass sounds, soaring vocals and towering synth sounds, heaven. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBusmMSIuHk Quote
4 Strings Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012
Red Beans LP by Jimmy McGriff. The funkier side of the late great Bob Babbit
Thanks for this, mate! Quote
pst62 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 This masterpiece, shame about the production though! Quote

spinynorman Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I've spent so long with an mp3 player on random I hardly know what I'm listening to any more. When I got an android phone I downloaded CarTunes, which has voice search, so I pressed the button, and then couldn't think of anything I wanted to listen to. My son brought Spoon "Gimme Fiction" and My Morning Jacket "Z" over from the US. Pretty good light rock. Quote
dmccombe7 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Glenn Hughes Burning Japan mainly to learn "The Liar" for tomorrows rehearsal. I'm a big fan of Mr Hughes though. Love his sound and technique and admire how he's come through some really difficult times. A credit to bass playing IMHO Dave Quote
WalMan Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 The new Nik Kershaw album - 8 - that dropped through my door this morning. Some good stuff on there as ever from Mr K Quote
dmccombe7 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 i had no idea Nick was still producing albums. He was one of the better acts from the 80's and hugely under-rated outside of the pop scene. Let me know what the album is like Dave Quote
