AntLockyer Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I'm thinking of selling a bass that I very very rarely use (but love) so I can buy an amp head. Now this on the face of it seems quite sensible. That's until you realise I already have an amp head and it has had less use than said bass as most of the time I just take my combo out with me. Having just turned down a very regular gig where the new head would have been perfect also feeds into the madness. Quote

Twincam Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I say sell the bass, buy the amp head. Then if you regret it you have learnt a life lesson and if you don't regret it then good. I always go and do what i please which is mainly why i live a life of regrets and lessons haha. Quote

ZMech Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Why not sell the bass, old head AND the combo and invest all the takings in a lovely new head + cab Quote
Horizontalste Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 I had a bass that I loved but rarely used, I sold it. Still regret it now. Quote
steve-bbb Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 i say give it all away to charity and find a new hobby Quote
Weststarx Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Keep the bass, sell the other amp head and combo Quote
AntLockyer Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 Ooh I like the idea of selling all the unused kit and consolidating. The really perverse part of all of this is the head I want I've never actually heard! Consumerism at its very worst. Quote

discreet Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 We need to know which bass, amp head and combo you already have, and which amp head you want to buy! With pics! Quote
AntLockyer Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) that would end up too much like a for sale ad and I'm not going down that route the stuff in red is hardly used, the rest is used daily, I'd really like a Aguilar TH500 Basses I own 1962 Precision 2008 precision CV Jazz 1980 Aria SB1000 Amp stuff I own Harley Benton 500 watt head Genz Benz 212 Neo cab TC BG250 combo Pedals Demeter Compulator MXR Filter Tech21 Bass DI Vox Phaser Big Muff Pearl OD-05 Edited June 24, 2014 by AntLockyer Quote
