discreet
Kick, snare, hi-hat and two cymbals. Thats what our drummer uses. In this way we are blessed.
Wot, no toms?? How do you do Gary Glitter songs? Edited June 27, 2014 by discreet
AntLockyer
My kit currently has no toms either. For a while it only had hats, snare and bass but I missed the ride and crash too much (although they are used sparingly).
cheddatom
With my folk band It's hats, ride, two crashes, but with my other bands I use loads of cymbals, it's fun!! I have two creations - two stacked broken splashes which I call the "splash hat" and then a broken crash and broken china stack call the "twat hat" The splash hat is ace for off-beat clap sounds for my reggae/hip-hoppish band
JTUK
Can't be doing gigs without double pedals and a nice china splash... so mostly it is 12",14" mounts and 16" floor with the option to add an 18". 5 cymbals ex hats... I just love to see him hit them all... he is a show unto himself...

JTUK
in a way.... out of our league in terms of sheer talent.
Mornats
Last night me and our stand-in drummer (who can drum, but isn't a main drummer) set up a hired kit in under 15 minutes and neither of us had ever set up a kit before. So yeah we had two people doing it but it didn't take long. It was a simple kit, kick, snare, two toms, floor tom, hi-hat and a crash and a ride cymbal. Mornats
Yep. He's not a drummer really but played really well regardless.
