That original hang tag is pretty sweet too. Interesting looking '57 Vintage Precision.... Especially with a different serial number.

So apart from a hang tag from a Fender not Squier P Bass with a different serial number, the JV serial number dating it between 82 and 84 and the owner claiming it is from 93, it's the real deal? Bargain

The neck is Ligit. It could possibly, all be Ligit.

An interesting marketing strategy - re-listed with an £880 BIN, after having attracted no bids in the previous two listings starting at £660.

Also fleshed out the text a bit that he 'owned and played it from new' - I wouldn't have thought it easy to forget when you bought a bass - let's see now, was it 93 or 83? - so perhaps the wrong date was a typo first time around.
