Lozz196 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014
This has a little bit of the sound. Dingus Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014
That Boz Skaggs record is great!
One of my favourites. It was always a lot more popular in the States than here, but a classic album nevertheless. That LP was considered stae-of-the-art R&B in 1976. The core group of players on that record went on to form the nucleus of Toto. Quote
Highfox Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Thanks for posting that I'd never seen it before. I'd guess they where flats he had on there lol. Digging in hard. Quote
AntLockyer Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 It's odd but it sounds like I have a chorus pedal on with these Dunlops. I'll record it tomorrow. Quote
AntLockyer Posted July 6, 2014 Author Posted July 6, 2014 Recorded a little demo of how the guitar sounds. Took me far longer than it should have and it is still a weird mix https://soundcloud.com/antlockyer/round-p Quote
miles'tone Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Hey that sounds great to me! Do you have a really low action too? Here's some more Dave Margen, this one is off Moonflower (just had it on and it reminded me if this thread) Great burpy P tone that always makes me giggle about half way through when he gets stuck in Only a short track but I love it. Love the whole album. Santana - Zulu: http://youtu.be/XBHqYRnqm8o Quote
AntLockyer Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 Oh yeah that's great. I do have my action pretty low, about 2mm on the E string at the 17th fret. Quote
