markb88
I'm on a hunt for new 2 piece bands - ideally just bass and drums. Any genre. - Already know about Death From Above 1979, Japanther, Royal Blood, Lightening Bolt etc. Any I should check out?

ZMech
The first few albums by The Black Keys, also The White Stripes. The Pair Extraordinaire also played just as a duo sometimes. Lastly, the bluesy duo I've recently started myself http://bluetales.bandcamp.com/

RhysP
One of my all-time favourite albums is the first album, "Monkey on a Chain Gang" by "House of Freaks", a guitar/drums two piece band. Saw them supporting Bob Mould in the late 80's when he was touring his "Workbook" album & thought they were fantastic. Here's a track from that album: They released other albums but I've always preferred the first one. Tragically the singer/guitarist, Bryan Harvey, was brutally murdered along with his wife & two young daughters by burglars at their home on New Years Day 2006. paulears
Chas and Dave are a 3 piece - despite calling themselves a duo. Their drummer Mick retired and the drummer is now Chas's son, Nick. Having worked on their shows a few times over the years, the bass playing is underrated - damn tough set for Dave!
Annoying Twit
The original They Might be Giants. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (Andy McClusky played bass originally, which makes them more this-thread-friendly than other synth duos such as Erasure and The Pet Shop Boys).
