floFC
Someone is selling a Status Groove Mark King Signature bass on eBay. Is there really such a thing or is he making it up? It certainly looks no different to a standard Groove. I would also assume MK models would be headless... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261522955449&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en
pantherairsoft
No such thing. Doesn't mean he's making it up though, given the poor description I'd assume he actually knows nothing about bass and googled 'Status', and found Mark King played one. On the other hand, the Groove Bass is one of the nicest basses I ever played tonally speaking. Still the best bang-for-buck bass ever made IMO. floFC
Thanks for confirming. I have never played one, but I like the look and idea of them, hence my automatic alerts on eBay.
Kiwi
They are a great bass - more refined than a bog standard stingray and possibly even better built . They have fantastic, if somewhat squarish necks. I only sold mine as I didn't get on with the body shape.
yorks5stringer
I had a 5 string in the same colour as the advertiser. I've asked them where the Mark King signature is....!

yorks5stringer
He's changed the wording now but bizarrely in his reply to me says it's an Energy Bass "according to the paperwork..." I've said it is no such thing!
