ambient Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) I think there are actually 2 albums. One is a new Gilmour album, and then there's a Floyd album that was started in 1994 and features the late Richard Wright. It's mostly instrumental too, which sounds cool. More exciting (for me), is the prospect of a new King Crimson album . Edited July 6, 2014 by ambient Quote
I believe it was recorded around the time of The Division Bell, which came out of Gilmour, Wright and Mason jams. So yes, I think it does qualify as Floyd. If you think Floyd are Floyd without Roger, that is. Quote
Tend to agree but then this isn't the worst tactic as I thought latter day Floyd was all about Gilmour anyway and it would be a shame if he stopped playing live and playing Floyd numbers, IMO. ambient Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Apparently it's mostly instrumentals. If you listen to the division bell, there are a couple on there. They started to record this at the same time, so possibly something similar. I'll certainly buy it. Quote
