BILL POSTERS Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Anybody of a certain age from anywhere near Brum will remember this place. Thought I'd stick this on here for those who, like me, have fond memories of the place. https://www.facebook.com/groups/168743345728/ Quote
seashell Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Ah yes, I remember it in the late 90's when I first moved up to Brum. Somewhat bittersweet memories due to personal connections and all that, but a great little venue and sadly missed. I remember it standing alone in an industrial wasteland when all the surrounding buildings had been knocked down. Quote
tauzero Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I regularly went to see the Handsome Beasts there in the 70s. It's sad that it's gone now. Quote

Was going strong in the very early 70s, probably the 60s but thats before my time. Must be some kind of record for a venue to be open for that long. Most of Brums big name bands/musos cut their teeth there, Edited July 8, 2014 by BILL POSTERS Quote
drTStingray Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) I confess to having played there and gone to see bands there in the 70s - they had a wall with posters and I have a photo of it somewhere - included such people as Magnum IIRC. Edited July 8, 2014 by drTStingray Quote
Subbeh Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Very sorry to see the place go . Saw my first proper live band there, and was always fond of the place. When myself and a couple of mates decided to learn to play we couldn't wait to play there ourselves, have a lot of great memories of playing and seeing bands there! Quote
