Tom_dub
So for the longest time I have been using a SANSAMP on my very small pedal board. I have been keeping on through every set just to give the overall sound more beef. Recently I have been needed more boost if not a bit of growl in the sets. I've tried some EQ pedals but today I played an Aguilar Tone Hammer which seems to work for me. My question is, does it make sense adding the Tone Hammer while simultaneously running my beloved SANSAMP? Therefore kicking it on every so often. Or does that defeat the purpose of the Tone Hammer altogether? Is it either or? weird one , I know. Any thought would be a huge help...CHEERS! 0175westwood29
nothing really wrong with that at all would just give a bit more tone shaping options andy
Prime_BASS
Echoing thoughts above . Do what you like, as long as you like it. Don't think of either as a preamp. I have two BB preamps, one is used as an always on overdrive and the other is used to stack on top of the first for more dirt, volume and girth etc etc.
ahpook
If it's just a volume boost you're after would something like an MXR micro amp be a option ? A lot cheaper than a Tone Hammer ! Edited July 8, 2014 by ahpook
discreet
Just try it. If you like it, go for it. There is no right or wrong answer to the question - which going by the title I thought was going to be about windows.
