bobunit
Hello everyone. I am a user of the Talkbass.com forum and a resident of the United States. I wish I were here under better circumstances... Recently, there was a listing on Craigslist London for a Zon bass that I fell for and got scammed. Here in the states, Craigslist is commonly used, but from what I now understand it is mostly scams on Craigslist UK. Do you find this to be true? Here is a screen shot of the ad: I believe this to be the original ad on gumtree: If anyone has come in contact with this seller or recognizes this bass, any help would be appreciated. Now, a little about me. I've been playing for many years, since I was 17. I've played many basses including Ibanez, Musicman and Spector, but my basses of choice these days are Zon. I have 4, 3 of which are fretless. That's about it. Cheers, Bob

Marc S
Hello bobunit, Welcome to the forum and like everyone else, I'm really sorry to hear about that scam I hope you can sort something Did you use a credit card to pay for it? If so, I'm sure your credit card company would sort it and refund you That's certainly the case here in the UK, as far as I'm aware Never used Craigslist before, so I've no experience of them I've bought quite a bit of Second-hand gear from people on this very forum and I've made some great purchases, and been extremely happy to deal with everyone Of course, that's more difficult for you being in the US but I hope everyone you meet on here can help in some way.... Please let us know how you get on, and good luck Cheers Marc
