NPD - that's right, new pickguard

So I finally decided the black pickguard on my P bass was a bit drab, so I sent the old pickguard to Martin Sims last Friday to use as a template and here's what I got back yesterday. Very pleased.

That looks great, as does the rest of the bass. Lovely.

That looks really good. I used the same basic White Pearl PG on my Precision to replace the original Tort PG.

Aha! It was seeing white pearl pickguards on pre-2009 US deluxes and Roscoe Becks which convinced me that pearl/sunburst was a winning combo.
