paulears
Clever, but I'd rather have a guitarist and some variation. There's a limit to what they can do. Bring back Casio one finger chords, drum machines and buskers with naff tracks. I did see them play on TV and thought it was clever - but if he dumped the drummer for a machine, he'd be able to keep all the money - Oh, hang on, Ed has already done that with his looping. I not not everyone is downsizing, the Beach Boys are up to 8 now!

tony_m
Not a 2-piece, but definitely no guitars (four bassists and a singing drummer to be precise... oh, and a dancing pig), Preston's mighty Evil Blizzard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYxncxvksX8

Gust0o
Royal Blood, Death From Above 1979 probably the main two for me. Oops, forgot OM! Anyone know anything about the "secret recipe" effects train the chap from Royal Blood uses? I assumed he was simply using guitar pedals, mind - fuzz and OD with some bits and pieces. Byo
Not rock by any measure, but there's Nerve (JoJo Mayer, John Davis & the Japanese guy). Ultraista are also a worthy listen.
Totally agree here, although not Drums + Bass exclusively, Jojo Mayer's "Nerve" is amazing... and John Davis does some amazing stuff with his effects.
