ambient Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 They rate their albums from worst to best. http://www.prog-sphere.com/specials/dream-theater-albums-worst-best/ Funny, but I'm guessing a lot of long term fans will disagree. I however think this seems about right. I'm just listening to 'Falling into infinity' now, that's an album that attracts a lot of criticism from fans, but I actually like it. Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm not a huge fan but they made the right choice for number 1! Quote

winterfire666 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Top 3 are bang on for me. I love dream theater but they are a bit wet and in my opinion have a body of work that is overall a little disapointing when you consider the talent there. When they are good they are awesome but it just isnt frequent enough and the rest of it seems a bit like painting by numbers. Quote
lefrash Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I've listened to very little of DT after the scenes from a memory album. I dont like what they have done with the sound. As others have said, its a bit like painting by numbers with them. Whereas the albums pre1998 were genuine genius. And the top two albums here are 2 of my all time favourite albums. Quote
