starman
The last surviving original Ramone gone to the gig in the sky. RIP Tommy! Edited July 12, 2014 by starman
skankdelvar
Bummer. Only 62. When interviewed Tommy came across as a warm, funny and modest man whose drumming was simplicity itself yet instantly recognisable.
James Nada
A great loss. He pretty much taught the other Ramones how to play in that style and produced the first few albums (even if the official credits don't list him as such).

doctorbass
We'll never see or hear a band like that again
Musicman20
We'll never see or hear a band like that again
Plus one. A pioneering group. For a modern day take on the Ramones catchy pop-punk, I can recommend Teenage Bottlerocket and Screeching Weasel. A sad loss. This year seems to have been full of deaths of great people.
Killed_by_Death
I'm not afraid to cry, & on that day I did. The last of the original Ramones. Soon after Marky would publish his book, which I assume he had just been waiting for Tommy to pass before publishing it. Although, there was nothing scathing in there about Tommy, but plenty that would make people think twice about being a fan of Johnny, which Tommy may have defended. Anyway, I took a break from the interwebz for a month & just so happens I decided to return on the anniversary of Joey's death, which marked the beginning of the end for all the original members.
