The Admiral
Wilko Johnson's latest album is now available for a fiver at Sainsburys. Paul Jones' 30th June BBC blues show was totally given over to Wilko's Shepherds Bush Empire show and some of the Albert Hall charity gig, and he also had an interview with Roger Daltrey, who guests on the album, and at the Albert a Hall concert. Daltrey said something along the lines of "On record you can tell he's good, but live it's just mesmerising... ". And he's not wrong - it's hugely impressive playing. I'm not a big Wilko/Feelgood fan, purely through not having heard much, but it was a great concert and a fine album. You can hear a 16 minute clip of the concert here : http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p021yz1v Norman Watt-Roy on bass by the way. Oopsdabassist
Great album, no nonsense, hard hitting, in yer face, brilliant. Would love to see him live.
Lozz196
If the CD mentioned is the one with him and Roger Daltrey it`s awesome. Just looked up on The Feelgoods live stuff, Stupidity gets the best reviews and having had a listen on Youtube am not surprised, so the CD is on its way.
