solo4652
Folks, Normally, our singer uses a dry signal with a touch of reverb via the mixing desk. Yesterday, the venue's PA had no built-in effects and that slightly threw her. She's on the lookout for a simple, straightforward, cheap-but-decent vocal effects unit. In reality, the only thing she really needs is reverb. She does not want or need a pitch controller. Suggestions, please! Thanks, Steve
Pinball
Hi, TC do some great pedals and from what you say I think this is what you need. solo4652
Thanks. Looks like the TC Helicon R1 might be just what she's after.

Pinball
Thanks. Looks like the TC Helicon R1 might be just what she's after.
I have one of the "single" ones and find it limiting so would also suggest paying a few quid more for the Mic Mechanic as it sounds like its designed for your use
tauzero
I've just bought one of these: http://www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicetone-create-xt/ and it's pretty good. It allows you to have two patches that you can switch between (A and with a total of 10 pairs of two patches. So Mrs Zero can have reverb for most of the time and chuck some delay in now and again, and [s]forget to[/s] turn the reverb off between songs. Now discontinued, it would appear, but Thomann got a batch in at the end of June.
solo4652
Thanks - I'll send the info to our singer. I think it may be a little too complicated for her, but she can make up her own mind.
fretmeister
I have a TC Harmony Singer and Mic Mechanic I only use 1 at a time! With one set of guys everyone can sing very well, so I don't need the harmony and use the Mic Mechanic But If I'm playing alone with just a guitar then the Harmony Singer is great - it reads the guitar chord and sets your harmony automatically. No need to set an interval. The big secret on both pedals is the TONE switch which is an automatic EQ, de-esser and compressor. The price of the pedals is worth it for that TONE switch alone! Just set your PA to flat and turn on the pedal. Wonderful little thing. Should be illegal to sing without one.
