http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hacienda-Manchester-Bass-Guitar-one-of-only-six-ever-made-new-unused-/360997163517?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item540d1b91fd

I'd never buy it even if I had 5.5k but it's a interesting bass,I've probably spilled a few drops of beer on the fretboard in my time.

The bass has 51 on it but tthe description says 54 - seems a bit odd?

4 is above 1 on a numeric keypad - I'd imagine it's just a typo !

South City Music in Altrincham sold this, definitely the same bass, it's got the piece of marble bartop. fac51 was the project number for the Hacienda:

They get some good, unusual stock in there.

It says hac 54 on the plate, not sure what that's about.

Strange numbering system
Description says there's only 6 of these basses worldwide
and this is number FAC 54?
Unless they start at FAC 51 and go to FAC 57?
Pete Hook should be along on his pushbike shortly...

The Factory numbering system has The Hacienda as FAC-51 so that's where the 51 derives in terms of club artefacts. I would imagine that the basses are numbered HAC51 through HAC56 and this one for sale is HAC54.

Says "Built by Brian Eastwood". I had mistakenly assumed they were built by Chris Eccleshall, the guy responsible for Hooky's black semi-acoustic bass.

Yes that's the way they're numbered!
PMT salford had one on show in a glass case for a while.
Brian Eastwoods built all of them (from various bits of the Hacienda)
