Beedster
A menacing presence in my music room. 300w in old money. With this you can play Glasto without leaving Camden. Sold a year or so ago but the buyer never managed to collect (couldn't get a truck), so refund on its way to him, and I guess his bad luck is your good opportunity. Don't buy this if you play pub gigs, but if you're playing stages and need real presence, you know the score. COLLECTION ONLY FROM CANTERBURY OR ABERYSTWYTH Edited July 20, 2014 by Beedster

Beedster
Ha ha, I've gigged it in the odd pub and had a loads of lovely smooth tubey headroom. Whilst I felt a little over equipped and it was a PITA to load, the bass coming through the floor made it worthwhile

Actually, I've already got a 35kg scrotum-busting valve amp, thanks! I'm just not packing enough testosterone for another!

Shaggy
Used to be mine - rare and awesomely lovely and muscular amp, basically the power section of an SVT-2 with an added presence control. Proper old-school valve power, but hi-fi clarity and warmth You can plug an active bass directly into it without needling a separate pre Now been in Wales for past 3 BC-er's - where next??? Beedster
Ha ha, thanks for the above guys, it's certainly a monster. I'd love to sit this between a Modulus Sonic Hammer and a Mesa Boogie 1516EV, it would be the ultimate bass set-up.

roonjuice
These amps really are the Cadillac of valve power sections. ANY pre u clag in front of it will sound amazing. They also make OUTSTANDING Hifi amps. Hell, I'm considering buying it so I can have 2 of em in stereo for my Hifi at home!!! mxm
I guess this used to be mine too - masses of power and sounded great paired up with either an SVT pre or (slightly mentally) an EBS valve drive into a Marshall VBC412. Sold it to fund SVT Classic, as you do. Brilliant bit of kit.

It takes even a passive bass quite well but am looking to run an East preamp straight in to see whether it happens. If so, it may be staying with me
