DarkHeart
We've just started opening our second set with 'Into the Arena' by MSG or theres always Whitesnakes 'Still of the Night'
gadgie
We used top play that song by The Jets (can't remember what it was called now though). That used to go down very well.
xgsjx
What about rocking up Runaway by Jamiroquai? Simple enough guitar line & a fun bassline to play.
Oopsdabassist
Big Yes to Radar Love, a staple in our set although the drummer hates it. ALWAYS gets the crowd up. Just started doing Fool For Your Lovin' in the original G too, lovely chugging bass line to play.
Bolo
Theres some Kiss songs with fun basslines...
Leonard Smalls
Give it away by the Chillis? Or Pump it up by Elvis Costelo?
charic
Black Betty by Ram Jam
bigd1
Smoke on the water, Black Night or Hush all Deep Purple but always seem to go down really well at the end of the night. I know these have been played to death, but there is a very good reason for that................ great tunes, everybody knows them. Ta very glad
Kinder
Stuck in the middle with you? Strong bass line but not too tricky. Usually goes down pretty well although more singing / shouting from the crowd than dancing! And I love playing Fool for your Loving but haven't played it out so not sure how much of a crowd pleaser it is. You'll enjoy playing it though! 2004gdavi
Always went down well when we played it Hot Dog - Led Zeppelin
allighatt0r
I hate it, but it's a usually a huge crowd pleaser with an interesting bass line up the dusty end in the verses: I predict a riot by the Kaiser Chiefs. Also, Cochise by Audioslave is alright if your singer can manage it. Bassline in White Room by Cream is not challenging, but still fun to play. FuNkShUi
Lay Down by Priestess is a good one. My guitarists suggestion to play. No too hard to play, but definitely tricky in parts. Its a "Guitar hero" classic apparently. Does seem to go down well to be fair!
BigGuyAtTheBack
'Stuck in the middle with you' is a guaranteed floor filler. Great bass line, but I keep thinking of ears being cut off when playing it! Used to play 'Breathe' by the Prodigy, a real finger killer that, got em bouncing tho'
Hobbayne
The Seeker - The Who Are You Gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz Both a bit more complex than root note plodders!
Snarf
One of my faves used to be The Stealer by Free. Not difficult but it's an awesome track and fun to play. Black and Blue by Whitesnake! Burn by Deep Purple! Aww yeaaahhh!

winterfire666
ufo - rock bottom its an easy part but theres loads of room to add flair and flourishes, you really can go a bit mad in the solo section and it still fits. i loved playing that song, lots of fun and always went down very well too. mep
War Pigs - Black Sabbath. We have had a pub singing along to this. The intro and guitar solo sections will keep you busy for a while. Crazy Train - Ozzy. Great fun to play.

grunge666
I'm currently playing Spirit of Radio and Extreme's Get The Funk Out - with these towards the end of each set, I'm feeling the burn!

julietgreen
I was also going to suggest Cochise - just trying to get my fingers around that one now. Slither is always very satisfying, as is Mountains.
