Hi folks,
I've been a fan of Paramore for quite a while and stumbled across a video of Jeremy Davis showing off his gear. He has some nice Jazz basses. One that really intrigued me was this trans Orangish Jazz with a maple board and really nice abalone inlays.

I was wondering if anyone can enlighten me as to the colour if it is actually natural or is it orange tinted? I myself have never seen one quite like it. I can feel the GAS accumulating already...

Looks like one of the earlier US Deluxe Jazzes. They came in Amber with dots like that

Quite hard to come by I take it..

A sense of awesome accomplishment for helping a fellow bassist out, possible a coffee if in my neck of the woods..

Looks like butterscotch blonde to me, the jazz in my avatar is that colour but it has a rosewood board, its an S1 from 2003 ish. I have 2 other US Fenders in the same colour, an active precision deluxe (currently up for sale) and a precision 50th anniversary model with maple fretboard. The 'depth' of colour can vary a fair bit, the wood grain shows through more on my P deluxe than on the jazz for example.
Heres a pic from when I first got it, now has one or two minor dings and sports a badass III bridge but pretty much the same;

That's extremely nice man. Bet it sounds sweet. It's what I'm missing really, I love my fender jazz, but it's a passive FSR, I'd like to get ahold of an active one to go with it :)

The S1 jazz was still only passive but it's a lovely player. For comparison of how much grain can show through in the same colour scheme here are my precisions;

I don't know if it helps but here is a pic of my son's American Series Jazz Bass and my American Standard Precision. Both are finished in butterscotch blonde.

When a 'trans Orangish' colour was mentioned I thought of a Fender colour number '22' which was Sunset Orange Transparent that was used for only a few years around 2003 / 2004 on USA Ash bodied basses. I have only ever seen the colour on one bass, a Precision that I had few a short while.............stunning looking bass as hopefully the attached shows!
