I have the FJB-6 as a back up for my 63 Fender and it is a great instrument, although I rarely play it because the Fender is my first love.
They are built in the same Chinese factory that make Squier CVs, but it's better quality IMO and also better than my Mexican Fender and Indonesian G&L Jazz basses.
I would say it's closer to a US Fender in terms of sound and build quality.

Here's a review:

I still have my Hypersonic FB-20 even though I'm playing 5 stringers. They seem undervalued to me and its just too good to sell cheap. I would kick myself if I sold it and then went back to 4 strings in the future. Great basses!

Yes fantastic basses, I have the P bass and previously owned the bass Pinball is referring too. A lot of bass for the money. I treated my P to a BassDoc tort guard and changed the pick up for an SD one, the stock pick up was really good but I prefer the SD for a more vintage sound. The P's have jazz width necks too. So yeah I highly rate Farida's and mine has been with me for a few months now...which is a miracle in my books :D

Nice, The hypersonic now has Rotosound Jazz Flats on it and still has all its power and tone plus a mighty thud.
You don't see that many P's around so well done on finding one

I've had every bass model they've done, apart from their Acoustic Bass (there is also a one off 5 String J Prototype that someone on here
and Talkbass (Hugh?) picked up from Dawsons in Chester if memory serves.

All are superb and excellent value for money - both new and used.
Their RRP pricing history was all over the place - basically because the put each model out at x amount - they all sold very quickly so the price was increased - they continued to sell very quickly.

I believe that they are now no longer making basses - they see their main market as Acoustic Guitars, which are very, very highly regarded.

Recently picked up a 70's style ash bodied, maple neck FJB-20 second hand...Really great bass, ridiculously good for the money I paid. As far as quality is concerned, not that far off the budget Laklands IMHO.

I've played a few and they kick ass. huge output pickups. really aggressive. i actually played one next to a USA jazz and preferred it. don't really like the lower horn shaping though but thats just my op. the feel of the neck was so playable.
