Ghost Rider
I've just Bought a jv squire bass , overall it seems to be in top condition body wise & no chunks or dings out of the neck. The frets are tarnished green as is the tuners, string tree & strap buttons, the bridge looks like it went down with the titanic & the pick guard screws are really rusty. I've had a tinker with the truss rod but the neck still seems to be bowed, the action on the bridge is set fairly low so any ideas? Big Thanks goes to Billy Apple (AKA Sean) for the advice on getting Solvol for the metal work Any info at all would be great as I'm not technically minded Cheers, Ghost Rider. UPDATE - GOT IT SORTED WITH A TRUSSROD ADJUSTMENT Edited August 7, 2014 by Ghost Rider

gjones
Interestingly I have a old P bass neck from around 83 with the same problem as in that video (the truss moves but has little effect on the neck). Luckily it's set pretty straight and the action is very playable. Very interesting info though......thanks for that.
