I like it, certainly a lot better than my pink guard on the black I put up the other day...

If I had a Lake Placid Blue personally I would either go for a black or white pearl guard.

Well... you know what I think about it - a mint or parchment guard would suit LPB much better.
In my very humble opinion, of course. :hi:

Also, it reminds me of West Ham's colours, so where's the good in that??

Think I agree with you on this one Mark. Although I'm not sure you are one for humble opinions :D

Fender Japan have a colour called Old Lake Placid Blue, which I just love. I have serious, serious GAS for one of these (but with a pearl plate on it):

I just love that colour combo: a nice dark LPB with a tort guard and matching headstock.

You mean a tort headstock..? Get out!!

It's one of my favourite combinations although I prefer it with rosewood to maple. I've only owned a white pickguarded version 20yrs back in the days where I didn't think to change the pickguard!

Good, I think it was actually illegal then. ;)

Nice. What level of relicing are you going for?
Limelight would be a serious contender for me if they did 'new looking' ones but apparently they don't...

You could ask for a 'very light' relic... I asked for a 'medium relic', but it kind of turned into a 'medium-to-heavy' relic... I'm still delighted though, as very early Jazzes to tend to look a little... worn, sometimes. ;)

Good point, although your jazz looks like a pretty damn heavy relic to me!

I probably should have asked for a 'light relic' in hindsight... bit late now. I suppose I could always get a refin... :D

I'm still thinking Jazz, I'm still thinking LPB, and I'm still thinking tort...

Well two out of three is pretty good.

Gonna ask for as light as you can get! The lighter the better for me, I want it to seem warn, especially on the neck but I wanna wear it down myself, having a head start is always nice :)
