I remember the first time I heard them, I think it was something like 1994 a while before On The Turn came out, thinking they were pretty freaking awesome. But when that second album came out, it had a huge influence on me and some of the songs I played in bands. None of them are particularly exceptional in their playing (I like this fact) but the songs are truly great and in the mid 90s they were a breath of fresh air. It's so awesome they're back together, full original line up and making a proper effort again! They touring in November! Win!! I've seen them play a few times, and met them when they did a mini gig/cd signing thing at the Left Legged Pineapple record shop in Loughborough. I met them a few times as well, great lads. I've still got my signed copy of Mexican Wave somewhere from when they did the promotional tour in loads of record stores. It's a shame there aren't any more dates than that, but I'm hoping it will mean they'll start gigging more regularly. And after the live album comes out, maybe the promise of some new studio stuff!
