Ashdown ABM Neo pre shape button.

Does anyone actualy use this , you have to press the button to turn it off . I can't decide if it's one of those things that sounds good on it's own but will be lost in a band situation ?

The shape switch certainly gives you are very usable tone.It gives you the popular mid scooped tone that has
been used and heard many times. Personally, I don't use it much because I prefer a flatter resonse, but it's a
good option to have.

I never found a use for it. Mind you, when I first got the amp I did several gigs with it on thanks to that daft back to front button...

Great if you want to 'pop and twang' but otherwise forget it, your band mates will wonder where you've gone.

I've discovered that if I use it with the EQ I can get every sound I need with the foot switch & the one tone control I have on my bass & the only thing I touch on my amp is the mute
