Brave Sir Robin Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 (edited) The organic shape, the upper horn looking like a dino neck stretching, the wavy pattern, the colour... and it was made in Scotland (I have a very shallow view of the world). Noneless, I can't wait to see it finished, you must be suffering G.A.S. hell right now Edited August 24, 2009 by Brave Sir Robin Quote

I had wondered how that one was coming along. Can't wait to see some good pics. Sound clips would be even better. Quote
skelf Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Don't get your hopes up to high for the "proper" pictures to be much better. It is a matter of record that I am crap with a camera. Quote
charic Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 You really do do yourself an injustice by saying your crap. If the pictures were rubbish I would have been less inclined to go with you as a luthier. However the basses looked great and the pictures show that. Rubbish isnt the word I would suggest. More "honest" Quote
bigthumb Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Bugger - that's lovely. The wait must be hell! Quote
charic Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 Yeah, now I remember what waiting on christmas morning was like when I was a kid! Btw people, I have to say Alan has been an absolute gem to work with, communicating with me the whole way. Quote

Don't change anything Quote

GreeneKing Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I have now cast my eyes on this very bass. It's a bit amazing and bunny happy one you will be Quite stunning. Quote
charic Posted September 12, 2009 Author Posted September 12, 2009 well what to say, ive now been playing this bass for 4 hours. A beautiful and brilliant piece of kit. The preamp is amazing as many have said. Took some getting used to though. Spent ages trying to get my sound and realised i was going about it all wrong and just dialled in several sounds that i liked before realising i had to mess with the amp. All of a sudden im able to dial in everything from warwick to pbass. Clangy to deep thud. Playability wise the first comparison i made was to dr of the bass, nick's vigier as it was very similar. it plays a breeze for tap, slap, pick or fingerstyle. More detail later Quote
