toneknob
Tracy Wormworth, maybe best known for "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SzjDOk_u9I Also she cropped up in Sting's late 80s touring band - some rare and out-of-sync footage here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x38lb5_sting-the-lazarus-heart_music - but now in the B52s... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mW5Vj4ngdw

stingrayPete1977
A slightly less obvious female bassist and one I rate would be Charlotte Hatherley, Lead guitarist from the band Ash but she plays some nice bass on her solo albums. She is now in KT tunstall's band as lead guitarist but I bet she could do a good job on bass duties

I was vaguely thinking of suggesting Christmas Wrapping for our band to cover at the Xmas jam at our local pub. Largley because we have a female vocalist. I hadn't really listened to it properly though. Now I've listened to that tasty bass line, I don't think it's something I could manage! We'll probably just have to do 'Santa Baby', like we did last year

miles'tone
This thread has been fantastic because it has brought Paz Lenchantin to my attention. Because of this I discovered The Entrance Band, a great rockin three piece who have been on heavy rotation every day for a couple of weeks now. I doubt they are everyone's cup of tea but together they really have something special. Works for me anyway. So cheers Basschat, thanks to you I've found my new favourite band THE ENTRANCE BAND - FINE FLOW - DALLAS TX: http://youtu.be/1w95c6g0UNk

miles'tone
Sorry about this one, the sound quality isn't good but it demonstrates why I love them. Totally into it, balls out. Kinda the band I always wanted to be in (Should really try being in a three piece one day. Played in a 6 piece for years so not too much room to wig out there) The Entrance Band: http://youtu.be/uonZ1Tru2oc Edited September 5, 2014 by miles'tone
