Davebass123
Hi, just wondered if anyone has seen a Streamer like this before ? I am told it is a 1993 custom shop Streamer. It has an ebony fingerboard, EMG pickups, an old style brass nut, LED fret markers. It appears to have 2 preamps on board ! an EMG and an MEC. The controls are: Front knob is stacked, push pull for active/passive, volume and balance for front/ rear pickups. Centre knob is MEC preamp and is like a parametric EQ and operates only when the toggle switch is in the front position. The rear knob is the EMG preamp and is stacked treble/bass, this control works in conjunction with the MEC preamp (parametric ?) with the toggle switch in the front position. If the toggle switch is put in the rear position the treble and bass control acts on it’s own.....ie without the MEC preamp. The second toggle switch is to turnon the LED fret markers. The EQ is powered by two 9v batteries and the LED’s by three 9v batteries. 5 batteries in total. The bass is neck through and is a dream to play with an awesome range of tones. I cannot find a serial number anywhere. I’m just interested to find out if anyone has anything similar ?? Edited August 3, 2014 by Davebass123
Kev
Nice! The serial number will be on top of the headstock, however it is usually difficult or impossible to see on these old high gloss finish models. Certainly not a standard Streamer

Someone did say the serial number could have been on a piece of wood inside the control cavity ......? I've never heard of that before
Cameronj279
Maybe worth sending warwick an email with the specs and they may know! Seems quite a unique streamer!
lukeward2004
Very unique - it loos genuine, but its a tough one as its a customised model. Not a bad thing mind, as you say i tplays and sounds great so if you like it, then go ahead buy it

gingerfish
I have a feeling that maybe the LED are after market. Which would then maybe suggest a refinish, so they might have removed the serial number during this. I found on my streamer that there was some writing under the bridge so removing this might be able to give some info.
Davebass123
Thoughut I would update this thread. At last I have found the serial number B 000335 93. I have been in touch with Warwick Germany who confirm that the finish is original (Honey Violin) and that the led's are original. only 3 pots original, the second preamp is an EMG and that is not original
