I wonder what this one is like? Stag stuff is usually ok-ish.

I've seen the hercules double stands and they look good, not cheap, but good, I've used the single grab stand for years and they're great. I wonder how stable the double will be when there's only one bass on there?

One problem I had with the herc stuff was the width of the jaws being unsuitable for some 5'ers and most 6'ers I tried on there...not a problem for me anymore as I'm back to the 4 string p bass for just about everything

I have the double and it is very stable with only one bass on it, even when the bass is reasonably heavy (like a BBNE2). Dunno about 6'ers but mine had no problems with a TRB5P which has a pretty wide neck. It's a great bit of kit and I'd replace it with another if anything happened to it.

Me too. Time to bin the QrapLok :)

Mine arrived today. First impression is that it is totally indestructible. What a great bit of kit! Even the carry bag I bought looks like it will last a century or two. Why did I wait so long before trying one!? :) I may well trade up all my other stands to Hercules if that is the build quality.

Another vote here for the Hercules. I have the double and because the legs spread out much wider than on the singles (I had 2 singles before I bought the double) it stays really stable with just one bass on it. It also takes my Cort A6 fine although it is quite snug so I'd imagine something like a Warwick broadneck 6er might be pushing it a bit.
Durability wise - I've had mine about 6 years which means around 300 gigs plus practices and the rest of the time my basses live on it at home and it still works exactly like it did the day I got it!

+1 for the Hercules stands...

Here's my custom stands (sorry not a great picture), the stands slot into the handles on either side of my flight cases, so no chance of the stands toppling over and the bass hangs freely away from the flight case so no chance of dings! The bass grabber to hold the bass is a Hercules...
