So what short scales would you all add to your collection?
I have no idea how this plays or what it sounds like, but it just looks sooooo cool

Here are mine:

Much modified/abused Burns Sonic from the early 60s.

This was my first bass and used all through the 80s except when I was playing synth. Still gets some studio use when I need that particular sound.

Fernandes Piezo Hello Kitty 2007 edition.

26" scale length "travel" bass with built-in amp and speaker.

Loving that Burns.....it looks like Snake Plissken used it in Escape from New York :)

P.S. i'm sure the Hello Kitty bass has its place in rock n roll history.....somewhere lol

I really like the sound. It gives a good mellow tone, with a great bottom.

Here is my 1976 Gibson Les Paul Triumph bass which is short as can be! included a newer Les Paul to show the difference in length (118cm versus 108cm)

Hope you approve (well - not really bothered if you don't! )

Hairband around the bridge is only there because I spotted it on the pavement and thought " I recognise that colour " :P

Can i play, newest addition to the family

Fender modern player jazz, I tried it yesterday not expecting much and was impressed with how comfortable it was. Returned today to trade in my sub 4 and surprisingly got a good deal. My only gripe is the jazz pick up is a bit weak. Fit and finish is excellent.
I highly recommend anyone who is thinking of trying one to go ahead.

I have one two, fitted flats on mine. Its a great feeling , sounding bass but as you say the P pickup dose dominate. I have been reading good things on here for the Entwistle pickups, very good price so mite try a set in mine when I get paid. Just love candy apple red basses

What flats have you fitted, I'm thinking of fitting a set myself. One observation I have made is the bass sounds odd in drop d tuning
