They do sound quite good, handle that " all important 5th string " well.

Even with the bridge bottomed out the actions high on mines and neck shims in a see thru bass don't seem right.

Weight is crazy. About the same as the 14lb sledgehammer I was using last week.

I used to have a defretted 4-string version of this bass. The relatively small body made the weight of the acrylic bearable. Is the 5-string body significantly bigger? I wouldn't have thought so.

I used to have one of these and they are indeed incredibly heavy. Alright sounding but huge neck on them.
