I just know I'm going to regret this big time, but I have to accept that I just don't use this kit enough and given the choice I'll always use my G-K MB500 Fusion - purely because it weighs less. The G-K doesn't sound as good as a real 70s valve pre and power amp doing its thing - like the Burman does in spades - but I just can't justify keeping it if it's not being used - and I'm not getting any younger.

Hand-wired by Gregg Burman in 1972. Preamp still has original 70s Mullard ECC83s in it and the Power amp has new JJ EL34s in it. The transformers are custom-wound and are truly massive. I still have the original Mullard EL34s if you want them. I've had it worked over by Greg at Guitar Aid and it's fully functioning and ready to rock with no issues. New speaker jack outs fitted, and a new PowerCon mains socket and cable fitted. Ready to gig.

Cost me £350 on the Bay in a 'not working' condition and I've spent a [i]lot[/i] on repair work, sockets, valves, etc. to make it what it is now, i.e. a fantastic-sounding, reliable and very powerful all-valve amp that will give you the 'all-valve bounce' at a fraction of the price of the competition and sound way superior in the process. This is a very rare piece of UK valve amp history and is uber-cool.

For the record the pre and power together weigh [b]35kg[/b] - the figures in the NAD thread are spurious.

Initially collection-only from SE London as the kit is heavy. Not interested in any trades - with the possible exception of a Barefaced Big One.
