They photograph well. :D
I did see a couple of threads on TB and elsewhere dissing Nash quality of components and build, but not having seen one in the flesh I can't comment.
Enough of them are owned by celeb players, but of course that doesn't mean much. :)
There was a thread a while back on OSG where a bloke did a teardown of a Nash and wasn't overly impressed with what he found: http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=47291&sid=133e9d67def1ad38189e6c06d853a11d

Never played one in the flesh, so not sure whether this is a general issue or a one off, mind...

Great, all under 9lbs then- that's good.

They look great, just need to try one now.
My 63J is between 9.5 and 10lb so there is some variation, very well balanced though.

Didn't know the necks were Allparts.....can you get Allpart necks with clay dots or are they retrofitted?

You mention surfing so perhaps you are SouthWest. Think Mark is Brighton based.
Perhaps call him, see if you can go try a bass. He is currently showing (admittedly heavy relic) a Burgundy Mist jazz and Fiesta red Precision in stock.
Good luck.

Devon, I believe. :)
Correct, Mark is indeed a fellow Devonian. My Limelight P bass is 8.5lbs also. Karlfer, your green/tort jazz is simply stunning...I love it. Nice weight too as my 74 jazz (mostly retired for the occasional reggae gig) is nearly 12lbs. My Limelight P has become my goto bass for my functions band...now sporting a Detuner and a Wizard trad pick up. :)

Another 'the best Fender I ever played isn't a Fender' thread ;-)
Quite. And this morning the current mrs discreet mixed some 'I Can't Believe It's Not Butter' with real butter, so now I don't know what to believe.

It's a Vicar of Dibley moment...

Alice: You know that stuff they're selling now at the local shop?
Vicar:Which stuff?
A: ‘I Can't Believe It's Not Butter’.
V:Oh yes.
A: Well, I can't believe it's not butter.
V: Yeah, well I believe that is the idea, yeah.
A: Then yesterday, I went to Crookenden and I bought this other stuff, like a sort of home-brand, you know?
V: Yes...
A: And you know, I can't believe it's not ‘I Can't Believe It's Not Butter’.
V: Mmm. I'm losing you now.
A: Well, you know ‘I Can't Believe It's Not Butter’?
V: Yeah, you think it is butter.
A: No no, I mean you know the stuff that I can't believe is not butter is called ‘I Can't Believe It's Not Butter’?
V: Probably, yeah, yeah.
A: Well I can't believe the stuff that is not ‘I Can't Believe It's Not Butter’ is not ‘I Can't Believe It's Not Butter’, and I can't believe that both ‘I Can't Believe It's Not Butter’ and the stuff that I can't believe is not ‘I Can't Believe It's Not Butter’ are both, in fact, not butter. And I believe they both might be butter, in a cunning disguise. And in fact there's a lot more butter around than we all thought there was.
V: Yeah. You see, I don't know what you're talking about.

Goodness me I never really got whole relic/roadworn thing but seeing this thread has made me appreciate them in a new light. What a stunning instrument!

I'd love a white and tort p with jazz neck and light relicking if I had to custom choose my own bass from him :)
