BassmanMatthias Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I already posted this on talkbass, but I want the whole world to know. I received this last week - it is a custom build by Maruszczyk Instruments. Adrian Maruszczyk is a well-known Polish bass player who lives in Germany. His basses - original as well as classic designs - are manufactured by Mensinger Guitars in Poland. http://www.public-peace.de/ Specs: Alder body Maple neck and fretboard (matt finish) Häussel pickups (the J is humfree) http://www.haeussel....dex.php?lang=en 3-way-switch Hipshot ultra light tuners Medium scale So without any further ado, voila! stingrayPete1977 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I like these but I want a five string! Quote
theyellowcar Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Lovely. Although it needs a pearl/tort guard to really set it off Quote
BassmanMatthias Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 (edited)
Love this! How's it sound?
Great P bass sound! Both pickups sound good too, but obviously a little thinner than the P alone. Even with my rudimentary slapping capabilities, I can hear that the slap tones in these two positions are top notch as well. The J sounds like what you would expect, but played with a pick, it actually sounds like, well, a telecaster (guitar), very twangy! Edited August 9, 2014 by BassmanMatthias Quote
