cd_david
Stunning early Czech Spector (Pre Euro) It has SOLID flamed maple wings just like the USA NS, Through neck with a new Tone Pump (with trim pot) wired bass, treble, vol, pan. Gold hardware and hi gloss lacquer over blue stain done by Dave Wilson so its a flawless mirror like finish with no damage at all. Bass sounds and plays as good as it looks and if it wasnt for wanting a particular spector i wouldnt be getting rid of this and my euro 4lx Bass is in North Tyneside if you want to try it or collect, Im happy to meet halfway on a reasonable distance, Cimes with Hiscox case. shemeckfrac
Spector may have invented the wall of sound, but you invented the wall of Spectors
cd_david
Love the colour
Thanks, its more beautiful in reality, both the flame maple and depth of colour/lacquer arent captured by the pictures
Spector may have invented the wall of sound, but you invented the wall of Spectors
Very good

Kiwi
Gush gush gush...amazing basses...gush spout splurge...love them to bits...spurt splurge gush...just as good as a Smith or Tobias. Far more versatile than their US rock associations suggest. With replacement Ken Smith style pickups from Aaron Armstrong, they're the perfect gospel bass. I have two of them. This one is nicer looking than either.
papaya
Do anyone know where to find sound comparisons between the solid maple and the later alder/maple top Czech Spectors? Somewhere I read that the resason of changing to alder body was to make them lighter, but this surely affected the sound as well.... These solid maple models (before 2004?) are not called Euro then? They are NS5-CR? Thanks!
cd_david
Hi You are correct, they are not called Euro, the Euro has the sandwich body. This is the NS-5 CR Basically an NS but made in the Czech Repulic hence the CR. The sound is a lot brighter and has a very tight and focused sound with a very even freq response, my euro has less top end (without using the eq) but they can get similar sounds. This one just sounds slightly clearer. Thanks Dave
