Lewmorg
Hi everyone, just out of interest would anyone know if there are different colour scratch plates available for the modern player 5 string? Cant seem to find one online, debating buying a regular 5 string plate and cutting more of a hole for the hum bucker pick up! Would be nice to have a different colour available just to change things up everyone once in a while, thanks in advance, Lewis
Weststarx
I'm not sure whether these fit 5 strings or not but I've brought stratchplates from both stores and both were excellent: Sensible Scratchplates: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCRATCH-PLATE-Pickguard-to-fit-USA-Mex-JAZZ-BASS-J-Bass-in-10-Colours-/191149760014?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&var=&hash=item2c8169de0e Less 'normal' Scratchplates: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/46-colours-Jazz-Bass-Scratchplate-Pickguard-Scratch-Plate-Pick-Guard-for-J-Bass-/380834299867?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&var=&hash=item58ab7e3fdb
JTUK
I get Sims to make me one from the template I provide. A decent tort/pearloid type plate for a 5st would cost around £65 upwards.

JTUK
If the bass is a looker and worth it, I regard that as a great price for what it achieved.
+1 I was lucky enough to get a handful from the Bass Doc when he was in production but quality is certainly worth the price - on this of the Atlantic anyway (ducks).
