Huge thanks to everyone involved in organising & hosting the event. It was great fun, really enjoyed it - ended up staying longer than I was meant to! Whoops...

Good to meet a few friends, as well as get chatting to new ones & try out some different gear. That P-bass that Shockwave had was lovely....

I was the one with the Orange terror head + barefaced can in the theatre room, for anyone wondering!

Cheers

Still gutted I couldn't make it. Sounds like it was a good one again thanks to Colin, Nik and co. I certainly hope to make the Herts bash and LBGS - and of course next years SEBB.
Looking forward to Bluejay's pics - once she has ploughed through them all. ;)

In advance of bluejay's photos, here's a few I took on my phone yesterday...

Apologies for the rattles, squeaks and other noises - the camera's microphone was amplifying absolutely every sound coming its way, not just the speech as would have been far preferable.

No need to apologise bluejay; this is really good to see..

Thanks for the hard work in putting it together so quickly! :)

Had an excellent day, my first visit to a bass bash but will certainly come along for more.

Met loads of awesome people, had a play on loads of fantastic gear and got to volume test my new rig.

Thanks everyone.

Chaps,

Right after Jack's Pilates talk, I was standing by Dave (OBBM)'s rig, a Mesa Prodigy amp going into a CN212, and someone was playing an ACG 5 string bass.

It only occurred to me later that I liked the sound of that combination.

So can anyone tell me, which ACG bass was being played?

I didn't play my Alpher through the Mesa, but was very kindly allowed to play through a TH500 and Barefaced set up which sounded sweet!

There was a Wal being played at some point in that area and a couple nice P-basses.

Yeah I had my ACG Finn SC 5string there, it was in the 'quiet' amp room, with my looping setup etc :).
Partly spotted in this pic I took on the day:

Thanks Nik, the top board is just my main gigging board.
The bigger board I put together for the bash which is largely ambient sounds and looping.

Just the one pic for the moment - taken in the foyer just before the raffle. Unfortunately quite a few people had had to leave before we took it.

Who's that giant woman standing behind Lozz?
