1965 Fender Precision - all original with original case **SOLD** £4500

I picked this up from Si a few years back but gets little use as I always gravitate toward my '62 P Bass which I have had since the 70's. This is the best condition all original 60's P Bass I have ever come across and although the first year of the CBS takeover, these basses were constructed from parts/methods of the pre CBS era. Brazilian rosewood fret board, lightweight body (weighs in around 7.8lbs) and comes with original case.

Not looking for any trades as I have decided to slim my collection to just 5 basses. I'm using Si's pictures (hopefully he won't mind) a the bass is exactly as when these pictures were taken with the exception that I have strung her with TS Flats

I have a very similar looking one from 66.

Any BC'er wanting a 60's P bass is going to be very happy, these are extremely fine instruments.

The condition is amazing!!!!!! Mine P Bass is August 65 and looks 100 years older, nevertheless, the sound is fantastic. I envy anybody who gets this beauty BTW, the date 6528 is the same like on my pots.

I just bought a 1958 Fender Jazzmaster from Si today. He has exceptional taste in guitars and basses and only has the very best examples.
This looks to be another example of that quality. I'd buy it myself if I didn't have a 65 P already!

Whoever buys this will be getting a wonderful non-molested proper vintage Fender bass.
