itsmedunc Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I dont know if its coincidence (ebay is down in places) but I just received this an email from - [email protected]. Its basically saying check your paypal account via the message. Never had this before and I'm sure its a phishing scam. Seems a bit coincidental? Better to be paranoid than sorry... Quote
Happy Jack Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 There are LOADS of on-going PayPal scams just now. Quote

ash Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Just regard it as spam - or forward it to PayPal via eBay with your concerns. They go straight to my junk mail these days. Quote
gadgie Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!!! I got an email early this year saying to check my recent transaction. Of course it showed that I had bought something I hadn't so I started 'making a complaint' then I though...hold on, why am I being asked some questions. contacted paypal and they said it was a scam. KiOgon Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Genuine Paypal emails start with your full name - anything else is crap tons of it, every feckin day Apple too & I've never been near any isite Quote
itsmedunc Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Not had any for ages. Its not a bad time to send them out when ebay is down though... Quote
chaypup Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I've had that email today too. Had my full name at the top which makes me wonder if something's been hacked somewhere... Quote
hubrad Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Yup.. likewise. Never bother looking when they say anyway! Quote
karlfer Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I got the same mail but it had my full name (not the easiest on the planet ). I went into it a different way, by googling PAINPal then accessing my account. Don't use it anyway so I really don't know why I looked, but it confirmed nothing on it. If "they" have scammed me, they will get sod all. Quote
