chaypup Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) Westone Thunder II - the first version with (as you can see) twin P's XLR output with LED - I haven't seen another one like it before or since although there are others with XLR outs (without the LED) and a couple with a twin XLR/1/4" Jack input. Beautiful bass that sounds as good as it looks. I'm selling this as... well, I'm fickle! Here's some info: http://www.westone.i...under2bass.html I'm asking for £[s]425 NOW £380! [/s]NOW £300!!!! but try me for trades - anying unusual should pique my interest - if you have a Daion Power XX especially! Thunderbird Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 God I love this bass why do I have to be poor lol
gazgoldstar Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Nice bass! These are very underrated but extremely well made instruments. GLWTS!
Jigster Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Go on then - how heavy is this beast? I have a fretless Thunder 1A, and before that I once had a fretted 1A, so I know these basses are quality. Hmm, could be tempted. What practical function does the XLR serve? I'm a luddite with no grasp of such subtleties!
chaypup Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 It weighs 10.4lbs so a bit of a beast but hasn't proved uncomfortable (though I am but a whippersnapper) The XLR primarily serves the purpose of looking cool and maybe being a bit more robust than a 1/4" jack, it isn't balanced unless you have an XLR input on your amp or run straight to the desk.
chaypup Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 Trades considered - TC Electronic RS112, Active stage monitors, decent keyboard - try me!
chaypup Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 Still here, sitting in it's case, not being played...
chaypup Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 Bump for price reduction - it is extremely unlikely that you will see one of these for sale anytime soon.
sbrag Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 If I had spare cash is bite your arm off but unfortunately skint. Can't belive it hasn't sold already. Very cool bass. Have a bump on me.
MB1 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 MB1. Please Note If you wish to offer a possible trade for the bass? Please feel free to do so by Personal Message to the seller Don't post it on his sale ad as it will be removed.
alyctes Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I've seen this one in the flesh (as it were), and it actually is that good-looking
chaypup Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Thanks!
MB1. Please Note If you wish to offer a possible trade for the bass? chaypup Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Thought this was sold but the buyer hasn't responded to the last fortnight's worth of messages so it's still up for sale - BUMP!
Bassassin Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Have I mentioned how gorgeous that is? Is it 32" scale? Bridge looks further inboard than on a I or a III. Jon.
