vmaxblues
Hi guys, I have a 1 x 15" MB Combo which I use as a cab only as it is missing the amp, I am now looking to replace the amp, do I need to use the combo head only or will any MB head work? I am thinking of the fixings etc? Cheers Stuart
MB1
MB1. Hello Stuart Hope your well On the 210 combo the LM2 can be used as a replacement for the combo head. All yo do is change the top plate of the amp over The 15 combo head will probably be exactly the same size It's just where the fixings are that differs. Martin. xgsjx
The LMII is a combo head (LMIII - combo head II). There's a few MarkBass amps of a similar size that you could use, or even some others fit (I've seen an Aguilar in the 2x10 combo). Edit to say, the only difference with the combo head is that it doesn't have a lid on top, so to use the LMII, you have to remove the lid (it's a flat plate on top, you don't remove the sides). chrismuzz
I've seen lots of examples of people swapping the heads out. I've even seen an LM tube 800 in the 2x10 before!
gsgbass
Markbass claims the LMll, is a LMlll head without the the top panel on it.
xgsjx
Markbass claims the LMll, is a LMlll head without the the top panel on it.
You mean the "Combo Head II", not the LMII? If so, then you would be correct.
