Stingray scratchplate

I know this makes me very sad and I'm having a conversation with myself but I am genuinely very excited about finding three genuine Musicman scratchplates (old truss rod configuration) that have been languishing on a shelf at the suppliers for 20 years!

I don't suppose you fancy selling one do you if you have a surplus now? , I've been looking for one myself, no luck so far.
I've had to make do with a black later type one, and on a natural bass that truss rod cutout shows up sadly.

I'm going to keep them but I do have one I got made in the states, which cost a packet! It's not a perfect fit on the neck for my bass unfortunately but it's a decent fit, it looks cool and it's been reliced. Drop me a pm if your interested.

My '82 is looks pretty immaculate until you get up close, theres a couple of small marks, but ive seen newish basses in far worse shape. still pleased as punch I got it. :D
Did the place you got those guards from have any more left do you know?

Got the last ones I'm afraid. But pickguard heaven in the states will do them and they are pretty reasonable . Bloke from Ernie Ball recommended them. Great about your bass, natural isn't it. My 77 is definitely not immaculate but it's still in good condition for a bass of that age.

It is a natural finish, came with a white pickguard originally, I just prefer the look of the black ones.

Have you got my old baby Foxx? 82 white pickguard sounds like it, old horse murphy in the mix somewhere? That is the best pre EB I have ever played if it is!

I dunno, it could be. I bought it from the gallery couple of months back, it was a commission sale they did for someone, though I don't know who.
